=I am 16 going on 17=
THIS POST WAS SUPPOSE TO BE POSTED DECEMBER 24, 2008 but something happened due to internet connection crisis and technical difficulties.
Just celebrated Alkee's birthday. OFCOURSE they were late. Alkee's hair is whoa really STRAIGHT!
I asked him if he blow dried it and he said he had it semi-rebonded.
Ang straight grabe!
Grandma didn't bother to catch a ride with them to the Manor so she went on her own and she was really early.
The birthday celebrator (celebrator is the right word not celebrant) was an hour and thirty minutes late.
So we decided to eat ahead.
After we ate we (everyone except Tita Belle) went home (our house) and stayed there for over an hour. Then we off we went to the orphanage.
There were only 8 children playing in the orphanage.
Each child had their own story of how their parents abandoned them.
One of the older boys when he was 5 years old as he and his Mom was in SM his Mom told him to wait for her in a corner for she reasoned out that she needed to go to the toilet but then his Mom never came back. He was traumatize by this experience that when they go to SM he clings hard to his guardians in fear that he might be left again. So sad...
One of the babies was left in the hospital after her Mom gave birth. The baby's Mom told those beside her to watch over her baby for she promised that she will return but then she never did.
One of the babies was left in the streets of Bataan with boils all over his body.
One of the babies was left in one of the pews in Catherdral when the priest asked everyone to pray, the mother of the baby took this opportunity and left her child.
How can these mothers be so selfish?
Oh well, its really sad to hear this tales about the history of all these orphans.
And when I look at all the things I have right now, I can only say to myself, "who am I to complain?"
My Mom and I got really close to one of the babies. He wouldn't let go if you carried him. And Mom was his favorite. Baby Levi.
He was the baby that had boils. He was for adoption but the people who were suppose to adopt him didn't pass the pre-adoption trial. Its so sad. They gave up on him so easily.
if they didn't then he could've have a family by now.
hay.....
That's why I'm also excited to go back there next week on my birthday so I could share what I have to these orphans. I hope my birthday won't be the last time I will be visiting them.
I hope that one day, they would feel the kind of love that parents give their children. They may not feel it directly from their biological parents but maybe one day God will give them a family in where they would find security.
